Carl joined Asda in 2000, as a retail hourly paid colleague and has progressed to his current role as Senior Manager, Engagement. Carl is a motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic and versatile HR Professional, with 8 years’ expertise in HR at management level within a fast-moving retail environment. He is educated to degree level, CIPD qualified, and was awarded a merit for MA in HRM.
During Carl’s career he has spent time in both generalist and specialist HR roles. Carl currently manages the Engagement team within the Communication and Engagement department of the HR Function to ensure that the business’ engagement activities and measurement tools are designed and delivered in conjunction with the business’ objectives. He assumes primary responsibility for the engagement survey and other activity to drive colleague engagement.
